Is Gibon Burgh, son of  Walter (Burgh) de Burgh Knt and Aveline (FitzJohn) de Burgh really their daughter Giles De Burgh, who married James Stewart, Knt., 5th steward of Scotland, son and heir of Alexander Stewart, Knt., 4th Steward of Scotland?

  • "Royal Ancestry" Douglas Richardson, 2013, Vol. II. page 15

Note: Walter De Burgh, Knt., 2nd Earol of Ulster, married Aveline FitzJohn. They had four sons, Richard, Knt. [3rd Earl of Ulster, Thebaud, William and Thomas, and one daughter, Giles.

Research Notes

Question if Gibon was really Giles, a female that married James Stewart, Knt., 5th Stewart of Scotland?

Thank you!

Could be.  But we're missing a Theobald, so I'd just change his name to Theobald and leave him.

The 3 surplus daughters look dodgy.
Thank you, RJ Horace! Change made as you suggest
