Eliza Eusebia Grider could be Native American

+1 vote

I am descended from Choctaw ancestors.  My great grandmother was Maime  Hamilton, who married Howard Matkin.  Her mother was Eliza Grider, whose own mother was on the Choctaw Trail of Tears when she was about 5 years old.  Her mother (who was on the Choctaw Trail of Tears) was Mary Wallen or Waller, which was her "Christian" name.  I am trying to document our Native American heritage.  We have photographs, but no documents.  Any help would be appreciated.  I believe Eliza married a Hamilton at one point.

Where did they start on the trail of tears, what state, county and or city?

What was the location when they finished the trail of tears, state, county, city?

I think Mary Wallen left the Trail of Tears in Oklahoma. She wound up in St Francois, Missouri, just as this Eliza Grider (who is possibly her daughter) did.  The dates of Eliza's birth and death are correct, but it shows her married to a Kirkpatrick.  She might have been married more than once.  She would have also married a Hamilton if she is my relative.  All the other details are so close that I think she must be the relative I am looking for.  Eliza I am looking for was born July 19, 1843 (or 41), died August 3, 1903.
