Would you be able to Add-an-ANZAC today?

Today is ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand, the day when those who served and perished in war are remembered and commemorated. Wouldn't it be great if everyone here with an ANZAC connection added or cleaned up an ANZAC profile?

Great suggestion, Fiona!

Done! John Benjamin Cusley Cobcroft, who I was fortunately up to in my family project.

Are there any categories I should add to ANZACs in addition to the template?

This would be a super special project - could you remember for next year? We have so much available online to build really good profiles in N.Z.

National Archives Archway has Boer War & WW1service records - Papers Past has photographs - Auckland War Memorial Online Cenotaph has embarkation records - Commonwealth War Graves has cemetery records, The New Zealand War Graves Project has photographed most of the grave stones and the Regimental War Histories are mostly on line.

I'll try and remember, Valerie. I agree that we have such wonderful resources to use.
This is a great idea

Excellent! I can do that.

I've added Robert Scobie (Scobie-176) who was killed at Lone Pine, and who I realised also fought in the Boer War, Arthur Scobie McCormick (McCormick-3861), who was awarded a Military Medal and Leslie Thomas (Thomas-25846), who was a driver in the 34th Battalion AIF.

(Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I couldn't get the profile links to work!)
You mean in your answer? You can add them as a regular web link using the link icon. e.g. highlight the name in your text and link to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/McCormick-3861.

It took me a while to figure out why my links looked mad. :)
Hi Kathleen, thanks so much for your response. I will go the way you have suggested with the links for the moment. I was trying to use the "2 square brackets wiki ID | name of person 2 square brackets" option, but it never seems to work for me. I have tried various alternatives but no success!

Done ! Added a new profile for my great-grandmother's youngest brother Robert DIX who died in Belgium in 1917.

Then added categories for existing profiles for my paternal grandfather Jim LENNOX; my maternal 2 x great-grandfather Walter MAYALL & his nephew Tom MAYALL who served in both World Wars & survived !

Being the 25 April, I have just added another 25 ANZACS to the Project Pages. More to come, but I've run out of time today.
