Question

Hi all and welcome to our (join) Project Indonesia G2G ! 

For all of you born in or interested in Indonesia and it's history, we now officially started Project Indonesia  !

The Indonesia Project is focusing on adding, sourcing and improving profiles of persons associated with Indonesia, developing standards for a variety of naming conventions, and creating bilingual profiles and a category structure supporting this work.

Are you interested and would you like to join the project ? Just respond by adding an answer to this G2G, introduce yourself and tell us perhaps what names or are's your interested in or what you're working on and..see the points below to see what you can do already to add yourself and check our project page for all information. We are still working on things so if you have ideas or things you would like to see added here, we really could use some input from you all ! 

1. For all members working on the Indonesia project/profiles, if you didn't already of course, we need to ask you to first take the Pre-1700 Self-Certification quiz ! And please read this: Wikitree Pre-1700 Profiles 
2. Add the category link: [[Category:Indonesia_Project]] at the top of your own biography, this way you become visible as a member at the Indonesia Project top level page, and you will get redirected to the Page.
3. Send a request to join the Indonesia Project's Google Group (link will follow)
4. Add Indonesia to your G2G tag feed followed tags to keep up with Project discussions and news. Add Indonesia to your G2G tag feed followed tags to keep up with Project discussions and news. See also Communicate
5. Add your name and area/region or surnames of interest to the Project Indonesia Members page
6. Check out the To-Do list to find something to help us work on, and add yourself (or ask one of us to) to that task

I found your question in the G2G feed this evening so returned to his profile. I note you have been in touch I presume you will therefore encourage him to join the project.

I have today left a message with the link to the project, I used google translate to convert the message to Indonesian as his english is limited he said.

In fact Mr Nugroho is already a project member, we need just a few more members before we will have a project members badge. That's why for now we all only have the category added to our profiles  ;)

I was not aware of this project and would like to participate. I am interested in the military personnel who spent their military service in Indonesia.

Welcome to project Indonesia and yes we started the project in 2017, but still need more members (so we don't have a project badge yet), and I think a sticker probably would be handy as well (since we also still don't have a project account). So we still have some work to do 

And I was thinking maybe we can start a team for this (you could be the team leader if you like) with it's own sticker or category for the soldiers/military personnel in Indonesia ? Jack has been working on categories for the project so you can ask him if he can create one for it.

If you have more ideas for the project just let us know !

Hi, Nick!  Welcome to the Indonesia Project!  Look at the Project page and under "To join the Project" be sure to click the link on #6 and add your name to the member list!  We are a small project without the resources to figure out a lot of things ahead of time, so your best best is to pick a person to profile and consult with others of us as you develop it!

Ok i think i did it all. I am planing on making profiles for these people, i already made a list on wikipedia https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_residenten_op_Java Oh and should i write names in the old Dutch way like Reksokoesoemo or the one from 1972 which would be Reksokusumo when the spelling changed? And i already have a few profiles that were eighter born in the Dutch East Indies, do i just at the Category Indonesia to them and they will be shown here. Sorry im pritty new to wikitree and project and that kind of stuff. Thanks
