Thank you for this answer. I was adopted in1944, born 1943. Non-identifying information from NC is that my name was Linda Lee Medlin. Some further information has come to me that I was born in Asheville, NC, and that Allie Ester Medlin was my birth mother. she was raised in an orphanage in Thomasville, NC. I know nothing except that AE Medlin listed my father's name as William Harrison Helms, possibly from Salisbury or Monroe, NC. Would love to have more information regarding other births, deaths, siblings. I know so little,and it is remotely possible that someone knows these answers.
