Hi Susan:

Take a look at Findagrave:

"Find A Grave Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV23-DS98 : 7 June 2016), Moses Martin, ; Burial, , Marion, South Carolina, United States of America, Allen Cemetery; citing record ID 60563456, Find a Grave, http://www.findagrave.com.

A War of 1812 Veteran Moses Martin served with Gasque's & Keith's Battalion SC Militia. Moses is believed to be buried at Allen-Shelley Cemetery in a marked grave with no inscription. He is listed in census of 1870 as living in Galivants Ferry (Marion County side), SC. The nickname 'Cuff Mose' is because his wife use to make his hats from the cuffs of his shirts. He was apparently quite thrifty. He also owned a male servant named 'Cuffie.'
