I would love to get this sorted out, too. I am related to Johann Jacob Mueller, who had a daughter named Dorothy (Dorothea?) Caroline Mueller, who is my great-grandmother. These records have been frustrating, so I'm glad you posted this. I'm pretty new at all this, so what can I do to help?

Steve
Stephen Thank You  Does a profile exist for your Great Grandmother?

I guess not (although I thought I had one on there). Also, to clarify, she's my second great-grandmother. She married Ernest Ludwig Muff (Muff-41). Ernest sometimes spelled his name "Ernst". On Ancestry.com, I have her being born in 1841 in Germany and dying in 1924 in Los Angeles.

Ernest and Dorothy's son is William, whose son is Roy. That's my grandfather.

"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M6N9-2D2 : 14 July 2016), Dora E Muff in household of Ernest L Muff, St Louis, St Louis, Missouri, United States; citing enumeration district ED 138, sheet 374D, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0729; FHL microfilm 1,254,729.

according to the 1900 census imigration was in 1843

I have these names as ancestors on my other GEDCOM project that I use. My grandfather's father's line goes all the way up to a Muller from Scotland. But there are also on my grandfather's mother's line goes all the way up to Vollmer in Germany (early 1500's). I use the desktop program from MyHeritage to compile all the information.
The immigrant Johan Jacob Mueller from Neipperg, Germany came to Berks County, PA.  Some of his descendents, my line moved to Rockingham, VA and other places.  There is a DNA project for Berks, County Millers from this line as well as multiple cousins working on documentation through church records, etc.  The DNA project is for a Miller Male.

Looking at the children of Mueller-355, there is a John Jacob Mueller-359, born 24 Sep 1728 in Zell unter Aichelberg, then we have a Johannes Jacob Miller-13219, born 24 Sep 1728 in Altenhaßlau, unknown parents, and different dates and places of death. Both have just Ancestry trees as sources which I am right now unable to check whether they contain any actual sources. It seems highly unlikely to have 2 German immigrants with the same name and the same birthdate from 2 different locations, so something seems to be mixed up with these 2 profiles. I am trying to get some information from both places and will let you know if I can come up with something.

Thank you Helmut they giving me fits. I searching books also as I think someone just mashed the 3 or more families into one. I going through the one born in 1702 and getting them straight to the best of my ability.  Have someone looking for a manifest for when he came over.
