What do you get when you subtract 80 years, 1 month, and 22 days from Feb 8, 1860?

My guess is Dec. 17 1779:

+ 80 years = Dec. 17 1859

+ 1 month = Jan. 17 1860

+ 22 days = Feb. (17 + 22 = 39 ; 39 - 31 days has January = 8) 1860

= Feb. 8 1860

So I agree with Greg and Matthew.
