You are invited join the WEGNER / WEGENER GENEALOGY CENTER  --  a NEW (closed) FACEBOOK GROUP  focused on bringing the numerous scattered Wegner lines into a CENTRALIZED DATABASE, and making CONNECTIONS between them thru OLD FASHIONED cooperative GENEALOGY and thru DNA TESTING.

I don't have many, but 1 aunt married a German WEGENER and therefore has Wegener children - if anyone would like to link them to their part of their work

Thank you for the invitation.  My maternal grandfather was Dragutin Wegner, from the area around Osijek, Croatia.  He died in 1944.  I'm very interested in tracing his lineage back to Germany and connecting with long-lost (distant) relatives around the globe.

Didn't know I was related to Wegners until about two weeks ago, though we've had the family photo of Herman "Wagner" in our drawer for at least 50 years.

My Dad passed away in 2016 but we had his DNA test done before then.  His relationship to Brandon, Wisconsin's Herman Wegner is through his father's mother's mother's sister, who married Ferdinand Wegener in Greifenberg, Prussia, Pommerania, now Gryfice Poland.
