What LNAB do I use for children born in US when for children of Anders Nilsson of Sweden who appears as Nelson on the US census? I am guessing they would be Nelson, but then they will be split from the siblings born in Sweden.

Ideally, you find the birth records of those children and use the spelling used on those records with, as Jacqueline said, spelling variations in Other Last Names.
