Calling all UK members with GedMatch #s

According to the latest dna relatives tool from 23andMe I have relatives from nearly every state in the US, a few from Canada (I'm pretty sure I know which family they come from) and 5 from the United Kingdom. This rather surprised me, since I thought my family had been here long enough that I could not have relatives in the UK who were close enough to be detected thru dna. Of course, there is the chance they are North Americans who moved across the pond recently, but I would still like to meet them and anyone else who matches.

So here goes. My GedMatch # is M512933. I would love to hear from any matches.

Here is my WikiTree CompactTree:

I'm a North American who was born in the UK. Any chance one of them could be me? My DNA details are on my profile. I'm still learning out to use it all. :-)

Oh my goodness! No dna match, but we are 12th cousins, both descended from George Yeardley

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Yeardley-6, husband of my/our favorite 11th great grandmother by the name of Temperance Flowedew Yeardley. I fell in love with the name before I had any idea I was descended from her.

Thanks, Cuz!

If you use gedmatch Tier 1 then you can sort the one-to-many list to show which of your matches have a tree on Wikitree. Probably easier to check them out individually from there rather than hope for random folks checking against your gedmatch number from here.

Thank you Lynda. I didn't even know about Tier 1 until now.

Worth giving it a try Susan. The one-to-many report is much more flexible in Tier 1. Easier to sort and filter, including a sort on age of match. Some other interesting tools there too.

According to Gedmatch.  We have a lot of relatives in common.  Not sure exactly who they are.  I did look at your tree and a couple of names stand out- Thomas and Davis.   My kit number is A739198.  Joe Burch. St Augustine, Fl
