This looks like the daughter of Howard-1209 that Suzanne mentions was born in 1734. Can we find her mother's birth?

Springfield marriage intentions for John Frost and Damarus Howard show Damarus as "of Stafford". Probably refers to Stafford, Tolland, Connecticut. Search on FamilySearch yielded no results.

Just a guess, but could this be a niece?

I don't think they're related, unless it's through Daniel Howard's family, somewhere.  The Brockton reference is actually to some cemetery records - that Damaris Howard, the daughter of the Damaris Williams who married Daniel Howard, died, apparently in Bridgewater, in 1757.  The whole family seems pretty firmly fixed on the western side of Bridgewater, Massachusetts: http://ma-vitalrecords.org/Towns.shtml - I've added the data and references I could find to the profiles for Damaris Williams Howard and for those of her children who have profiles.
