who are John Maclin Bennett's parents

Looking for info on info on John Maclin Bennett's  1777-1835    parents i have seen at 2 different sets

Parents:

William* Bennett, 1756-1840 Mary* Bennett (born Sheffield)

1770-1845 

 

John Bennett,1725-1798 Elizabeth Bennett (born Sadler)

1739-1816 

so i am incline to think the first set is correct but just want a second opinion and fresh eyes to look see ...  profile in question  Bennett-16290

I am looking for more info on John Maclin Bennett1777 - Dec 1835 Brunswick County, Virginia, USA , his birth year , his children etc.. trying to sort out some family lines  Thomas S Bennett    Bennett-16289 1815 - 1886 Dekalb County, Tennessee  i think he is the son of John Maclin Bennett but not sure ? Goldsman Bransford Bennett  Bennett-16373 Oct 1835 - 1914 Dekalb/ White co. Tennessee i have Goldsman as he son of John Maclin Jr. 1812 - 21 Oct 1875  Bennett-16372 Tennessee Walker Bennett   Bennett-16376 abt 1787 - abt 1871 Virginia, United States looking to see how he ties in with John Maclin Bennett ??? i have found several different trees with conflicting trees ?? I am hoping to find someone who has been researching and might help straighten this out
