Is there a way to seperate surnames by country, (or state/province) to reduce searching from all over the entire world?

It would help if every profile included birth or death places even if they were merely an educated guess!

I completely agree. They can be specific (city, province/state, and country), or a little bit more vague if they are unsure (province/state, and country), or if they are unsure of the province/state of birth, they could simply put in the Country. It would save hours of searching to find matches, and save a lot of time in emailing people to see which country they were referring to in their post.

You can try using the search feature under "Find." I've had pretty good luck with that. Try putting in the surname and location. Also, its a good idea to add categories to the top of the profile for the future.

Thank you. I didn't realise that I could use that. I thought that it was just to find a name. :)

You can also try the text search function of WikiTree+ . Searching for (your tag) "adams new brunswick" currently gives a result set of 39 names
