How are the grades (Crew, Pilot, Mach1 etc.) achieved or awarded.

I was thinking G2G Crew was like a moderator, I was wondering how come moderators have so low points... then I became a Crew myself :O

But not for long Artin. As soon as you reach 1000 G2G points you'll become a G2G1.

By the way, G2G points can be earned just for upvoting answers, 10 points each.

They're automatically changed as needed.  The only exception is getting the G2G6 badge where I believe it's done manually and it's probably a good idea to check and see if you've received it or not and post a message if you haven't after a few days.

The G2G6 badge is awarded manually by a team member, currently they check the points about once a week and award the badges to people who pass 6,000. 

The others are changed automatically when you pass a certain point level for example Mach 1- Mach 9 (for each en thousand points reached up to Pilot at 1000,00.

It must be manual then. I am beyond 6000 and had not even realised that there were badges for use of G2G.

Yes the G2G6 Badge is manually given. I not sure but I believe any leader can give this badge if you need some extra bling for your profile and you meet the 6k mark
