My GGrandfather moved to Kansas with 600 dollars from England. He bought a parcel of land he named West Cherry, Kansas. The Indians would steal food from his home when he would go work the fields. He learned to leave food in a bag outside and they stopped stealing from his house. They lived in peace. He also had a mail order bride, name was Ann Tippin also from England. Any help would be appreciated and Thank you in advance!

Timeline is not correct, Thank you!
If the info Vivian has provided further down this post proves to be correct regarding John and his brother George (and a sister Sarah) with a mother named Hester, then this entry from Wayne is John's brother in the England 1871 census is also the correct family.  And Wayne's post below is George's immigration info to the US.

Actually scratch that, I looked at your profile and I see we're looking for John, but I'm betting that George is his brother or cousin!
They must be related as it was a sparse area back then. My ggf had three girls and one was my grandmother, Iva Leah Pearl Kingston married to Powell. I think Alice married to the Leedy's.  I truly appreciate all your help.

I looked through the US census info and immigration for John and came up with the following:

1870 census age 27, Farmer, Montgomery City, Kansas.
"United States Census, 1870," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MCJT-7JS : 17 October 2014), Jno Kingston, Kansas, United States; citing p. 14, family 134, NARA microfilm publication M593 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 545,938.

1880 census, age 34, West Cherry, Montgomery, Kansas
"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MF58-XY1 : 14 July 2016), John Kingston, West Cherry, Montgomery, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district ED 161, sheet 356C, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0390; FHL microfilm 1,254,390.

1890 census - not on Family Search

1900 census aged 57, West Cherry, Kansas
"United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMY4-G44 : accessed 17 May 2017), John Kingston, West Cherry Township, Montgomery, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 145, sheet 7A, family 124, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,491.

A second John Kingston, aged 53 and from England, wife Anny and three sons are also in West Cherry in 1900:
"United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMYH-N4R : accessed 17 May 2017), John Kingston, West Cherry Township, Montgomery, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 145, sheet 6A, family 103, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,491.

1910 census aged 65, West Cherry, Kansas.  Wife Anne/a has died. Daughter Alice is with him.
"United States Census, 1910," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2CY-385 : accessed 17 May 2017), John Kingston, West Cherry, Montgomery, Kansas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 192, sheet 7B, family 104, NARA microfilm publication T624 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1982), roll 449; FHL microfilm 1,374,462.

1920 census aged 76, West Cherry, Kansas. Daughter Alice is with him.
"United States Census, 1920," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFXJ-XTG : accessed 17 May 2017), John Kingston, West Cherry, Montgomery, Kansas, United States; citing ED 203, sheet 3A, line 24, family 51, NARA microfilm publication T625 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1992), roll 542; FHL microfilm 1,820,542.

John is on the 1870 census so he arrived in the US prior to that.  Some of the other census say 1868 as a year of immigration, so using that date as an approximate I found a 24 yr old John arriving in New York on the Arago.  He's listed as a Cattle Dealer.  The records cover the dates 26 Oct 1867 - 15 Nov 1867.

"New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1891," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVPJ-5Y25 : 15 April 2015), John Kingston, 1867; citing NARA microfilm publication M237 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm .
