Your profile has a private family tree, so I can't see any connections on it, but if you are related to some of the Fulkerson profiles you manage, you should be related to John Paul II within about 40 steps. Fulkerson-893 and Fulkerson-622 both have connection paths of 36 steps, for example.

I've been working toward reducing path lengths by adding family (and sources) for some of the people I've seen on connection paths to Eve Curie.

So far my main contribution was to create Eliphalet Nott and make connections from him to two sets of [duplicate] profiles for his parents. Eliphalet's daughter is "only" 21 steps from John Paul II, and his parents (whose profiles have fairly short paths to the other connection targets) were more than 30 steps away from the Pope, so I expect that inserting Eliphalet should decrease some people's connection paths to John Paul II.

At this point in my genealogy research I haven't found any notable yet in the family tree. However I wouldn't rule out being connected to some notable.

I have a 32-step connection. The path goes through Marie Curie's daughter Eve -- specifically through Eve's husband, a widower whose first wife had New England ancestry.

I can't find a connection to the Pope, but I am 24 degrees from Marie Curie. How many degrees is she from the Pope, I can't tell - unless I'm putting their IDs in incorrectly!
