help finding image in FamilySearch for census records

Hi! The Military Challenge is pretty fun & I've been working with folks who are doing great things for the Louisiana profiles in the challenge.

One of the profiles has several Census records, but the info is all from Ancestry. I'd like to include links to the FamilySearch entries, if FS has them, but I'm rubbish at finding anything in FamilySearch.

Looking for

  • 1900; Census Place: Police Jury Ward 6, Acadia, Louisiana; Roll: 556; Page: 15B; Enumeration District: 0008; FHL microfilm: 1240556
  • 1910; Census Place: Crowley Ward 4, Acadia, Louisiana; Roll: T624_507; Page: 3A; Enumeration District: 0011; FHL microfilm: 1374520
  • 1920; Census Place: Crowley, Acadia, Louisiana; Roll: T625_603; Page: 18A; Enumeration District: 15; Image: 726
  • 1930; Census Place: Gueydan, Vermilion, Louisiana; Roll: 823; Page: 5B; Enumeration District: 0020; Image: 1008.0; FHL microfilm: 2340558

Thanks!

Thanks so much Eddie! I spent half an hour and couldn't even find the Louisiana census records, much less one that I was looking for!
With famsearch census, don't put in exact birth year or specific place.

For Lindsay I put in a 4 year range of birth year and just Louisiana. Then checked " restrict by type "  the to census/public records.
thanks! There may be hope for me yet!
Learned the trix tracing my slave ancestors who were illiterate. No 2 "stories" the same re birth date and place. Pinning them down required sideways finessing lol
I'm going to steal "sideways finessing" - a very apt phrase!
i found and added the 1940 census from Family Search for Lindsay Baur!
Nice! Thanks Darvana (& Eddie!)

I found this post again!!

Eddie: I just wanted to say THANK YOU!! I have been finding FamilySearch records easily using your advice. Such a relief that this old dog can still learn new tricks LOL.

Thanks so much!

How do you even find specifically census records on Familysearch? It would help alot if I knew that lol

by using the link that Eddie gave for more info, I've been able to change out information & find census records for other folks I've been looking for:

https://familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3ALindsay~%20%2Bsurname%3ABaur~%20%2Bbirth_year%3A1890-1892~%20%2Brecord_type%3A(3)

Scroll down on the left-hand side of the window opened when you click that link, & you'll see the area where you can select the type of record.

Cheers, Liz
Thanks Liz! oh and i noticed your note about ssn's so I left that info but deleted the social.
Have been finding copies of what records I can on familysearch and dual sourcing (two sources per info) so I hope that is more helpful
