Mother should be his wife.

Profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Womack-921 is listed as his mother - her DoB 1616, his DoB is 1612. She should be his wife, because of protected status this can't be remedied. Need help.

Michelle,

If you have sources to support the relationship, try going through the process to become pre-1700 certified and then try fixing the relationship from Womack-921's profile.  Her profile is not project protected.  Should should be able to at least disconnect her with pre-1700 certification.

But before you do this, add us_history and Virginia as tags to this message.  Those are the tags for the Virginia project which is my best guess for the project which put the protected profile on John Williams profile.

I am Pre-1700 - and I did try that - because John Williams is protected- parents cannot be removed.
That's true. So its back to contacting the Virginia Project.  Meanwhile, you should be able to put the information in a research note in the biography even if it is project protected.
I removed PPP so that relationships can be fixed.

FYI: Virginia Project is post-USA. US Southern Colonies project is pre-USA.

Thanks Michelle! I'll "re-protect" the profile so Williams is preserved as LNAB.
um... I just added a bio based on the datafield & he doesn't have a wife. If the profile that had been attached as his mother should've been his wife, shouldn't he have a profile attached as his wife?

There's more problems than that...  The parish is actually Abbots Ann (fair enough, could by a typo) and the only John Williams baptised in that parish 1600-1620 is a John son of James Williams baptised in 1605 "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NK6L-S97 : 6 December 2014), John Williams, 23 Feb 1605; citing ABBOTTS ANN,HAMPSHIRE,ENGLAND, reference ; FHL microfilm 1,041,195.

There are a lot of problems - I came across it looking for a different Williams - and found John as the father to his siblings with a mother born after him.  All I was trying to do was end the "loop" so the profile manager could flesh out the profiles
Sorry Michelle, I didn't mean to annoy you and I wasn't trying to criticize you in any way - I was just trying to contribute to the discussion about the profile.
Ooohh NO! Please don't take my comment that way - I am not annoyed. Well, I was when trying to get the loop removed - but not now. Ha!

Hopefully the profile manager will get the rest straightened out
I think the profile manager had adopted a different orphaned profile that has since morphed into the current one from various merges (which, based on the resulting profile, included some bad ones). I'm tempted to post a new G2G request from the profile asking for help fixing it. Looking at the changes, it has had several profiles for wives & children added/removed. The only source I could find was the connection of the profiles attached as parents (Weston daughter shown in Richardson as wife of John Williams).
Just shows the problems of relying on text only to communicate ;-)
