Can someone who is pre-1500 certified change the DOB for Percy-48 to 1526?

Percy-48 has a wrong DOB. It should be 1526. I think her date of marriage and possible the DOB for her children needs to be updated, too. She is my distant cousin, but if someone else with more sources would like to be the manager for this profile, I would be happy to add you to the list.

I think it needs a lot more research on  this family There is obviously some confusion as to whether her husband is an Arthur or a John. It looks at the very least as if two people have been conflated.

''John Arthur'' Percy  has a death date of  1537   but  'his' will   was written in 1508 and probated in 1520  This will is for a John Harris of Prittlewell ( The National ArchivesPROB 11/19/419 Description: Will of Johannes Harreis of Prittlewell, Essex Date: 06 July 1520 . It is viewable on ancestry but it is in Latin so maybe trust the translation/transcription as on the profile)

If William Harris MP b. 1505 is his  son which is possible from the 1508 date of the will, then his mother Joan  can't have been born in 1525.  ( also her putative father, Thomas Percy, was born in 1504 )

History of Parliament actually gives  William's birth as before 1502  and names the father as John Harris and the mother as simply Joan. http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1509-1558/member/harris-william-ii-1502-56

There is a very short discussion on this family on soc genealogy medieval.

I don't know why but the writer of the History of Parliament entry for William notes in the references "Vis. Essex (Harl. Soc. xiii), 59-60 appears to be a fabricated pedigree, comparable to that of the Westons "

The visitation of Essex page is here

Goodness! That is probably a lot deeper than I want to get right now. Should I removed my name as manager? I am working on other projects currently.
Why don't you contact some of the people who have written comments on her profile  and  related ones. There are quite a few who have obviously been working on this family for some time. The profiles are project protected I suspect because of the obvious problems .I can see that  Liz  Shifflett  has written comments this year . She is both pre 1500 qualified and a leader so probably a good person to contact about this one.
Thanks for the soc-gen-medieval link Helen! I have been working on the Harris family in WikiTree off and on for several years now. They're in much better shape than they were but are still a bit of a mess. There are several different Harris families at the same time/same area/using same given names. I'm currently working on Thomases. An example of the challenge: two Harrises in Jamestown muster (first name Thomas given for just one in muster, but other research concludes both were named Thomas Harris) & three Thomas Harrises in Virginia had wills dated 1729.
The reason it appears to be a fabricated pedigree is that William Harris MP was about the same age as his alleged grandfather, Sir Thomas Percy.
Yes, I'd worked that out. I also found it interesting looking at the 4 different pedigrees in the Visitation of Essex compilation. The last one, which starts with William  is the only one that reads as if it were compiled directly at the time of the  visitation (I like one of the Dorset ones where it says signed Thomas Martin, come tomorrow and pay the fee, )
Is it time Joan was detached from these parents at least temporarily? Doesn't look like there will be a quick solution.

After reading everyone's notes I am hoping my husband's maternal grandmother's line is easier to trace!  We have Daniel Henry Harris men in Grandma's lineage and traced to Greenport, Suffolk, Long Island, NY. At least 5 generations of Daniel Henry's with earliest Daniel Harris born in 1766.  Thus I have hit a deadend.
