There is a family tree on family search that seems to be this family.  It includes the following source for Rachel's death:

"South Carolina Deaths, 1915-1965," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N92K-995 : 18 April 2016), John Bowen in entry for Rachel Rebecca Bowen, 01 Jun 1943; citing , Bowen, Rachel Rebecca, 1943, Department of Archives and History, State Records Center, Columbia; FHL microfilm 1,943,921.

Also for Rachel it has an 1860 census entry: "United States Census, 1860", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MDD5-42R : 30 December 2015), Rachel Fox in entry for Marion Fox, 1860.
