I wanted to share this family photo of Ivy Myrtle Short Marcum with the community. Location: unknown. Date: unknown. Recently found out grandma marcum may be my great grandmother, not grandmother. my oldest sister, who died in 2011, supposedly told her ex husband, and he's just now informing us. my uncle clinton was the last of the 11 kids left and he died in 2009. he was step dad to my oldest sisters ex husband. rickie said my sister told him that our mom told her aunt gladys, one of mom's older sisters, told her just before she died, that she was really her mom, but was unmarried and only 16 at the time so grandma and grandpa marcum's names appear on the birth certificate as mom's parents. aunt gladys finally married when she was 26 to uncle fred lobb, but they never had any children. they always seemed to live next door to us, went on many vacations with our family, more so than any of our other aunts, so it could fit. wondering if any of my other cousins have heard this as well.
