Samuel Lamb senior emmigrated to America aroind 1740 and eventually ended up in Mechanicsberg and Carlisle, Penn. He was s stone mason and may have owned a tavern in Carlisle area.  He was a Protestant and helped build a church of stone still standing.  Had a family and many children.

Tydavnet is in Monaghan County, Ireland.

Mechanicsberg and Carlisle, are in Cumberland Co., PA
