DNA study added wrong how do I fix?

Okay, my attempt to add myself to Brady DNA study project ended up showing as red. A page came up and I thought it meant I had to add something to the box so I added [[DNA Study]]. Now DNA is black on my profile page but the page it links to is red. Here I go again. Don't laugh. I will eventually figure this out.

How do I fix it?

Laughing with you rather than at you. I canĀ“t make much sense of what triggers red and black on categories either :)  Still no wiser after re-reading the instructions umpteen times, so I have given up using them for the moment.
Lynda, I am so glad I am not the only one challenged. Once I figure out how to do it and figure out how to use a video screen capture program, I promise I will put it on my blog and send you a link. Of course, I am going to have to live long enough to get through all the learning curves.
Sending you a private message to see how I can help Barbara :-)

Hi, Barbara (and Lynda)!

I've asked one of our DNA Project members to contact you about setting up the categories for your DNA information.

To answer your question about categories: When a category shows up in red, it means that it doesn't exist and might need to be created. I say might, because sometimes it's a case of misspelling or just not having the correct category name.

When that happens, before you create a new category, it's always best to go looking and make sure that you haven't used the wrong category name or misspelled something. So, I suggest using Find > Categories from the Help menu to look for the higher-level category where the category you need belongs.

All that said, I know that it's not as easy as I just made it sound!! :-)  It takes some time to get familiar w/ the structure of categories. So, just be patient with yourself, and don't be afraid to ask in G2G if you're not sure whether or not a category needs to be created.

We've all been in your shoes before, believe me. :-)

Just for good measure, here's the Categories help page. (Can also be found on the Help menu: Help > Category Usage)

Pretty sure that a category that shows up red on any profile page indicates that the category has not been built.  That usually happens to me when I add an {{ Unsourced |  some state }} and spell the state name wrong.
