How can someone have hands on knowledge of an event in 1600s? No one's that old.

They can't. The "personal knowledge" source used to be put automatically on all profiles. People were supposed to replace it with actual sources, but often didn't, so that's why you see it a lot on profiles.

I've been laughing at that same thing!  So do we delete the whole reference, which usually includes the profile managers name?  Or edit out the personal knowledge part and leave their name and the remainder of the upload info (sorry can't find a specific example to show).
