Feature Request: Can we support phased autosomal DNA?

It would be great for those of us fortunate enough to have one of our parents tested and thus able to created phased autosomal DNA kits to be able to enter the maternal and paternal DNA kit numbers on GEDmatch and have these shown as the GEDmatch ID up the lines on the maternal and paternal trees we descend from.

I am all in favor of special considerations and rules for phased auDNA but do we need additional support?  Perhaps a special button on the DNA test page would nice but there is already support in the form of a text box for each DNA test.  Also, one should consider whether it is phased with one, both, or neither parent (the latter derived from DNA of children and other relatives).

How does phasing from both parents given different results than phasing from one parent?  I would expect the same information unless there was mutation in the child's DNA.

Here's a good overview article from ISOGG: https://isogg.org/wiki/Phasing. The net message is that you absolutely want to do "trio" phasing whenever possible because you're working with three known, unique datasets for the comparisons. If you have only one parent's test results, the tool being used has to apply statistical and computational algorithms to arrive at an assumptive model of the third, missing genome. The computational models are pretty good, but can never make up for the accuracy of having that actual, third dataset.
