Sarah Stacy was the daughter of Simon Stacy and Elizabeth Davidson. She is said to have married a Thomas Davis. L. Thomas Davis [[Davis-15389]] gives him two spouses, Sarah Stacy and Sarah Means; "source" documentation listed in Ancestry family trees, and lists his parents as Thomas Davis and Mary Means Louthron. Thomas Davis [[Davis-44332]] lists his mother as Sarah Mallet. ancestry.com lists his father as Simon Davis, but I've also seen other names. Both ancestry family trees list Sarah Stacy as Thomas's wife. I've not added the ancestry.com source to Davis-44332.
http://oquin.tumblr.com/revolution connects Sarah Mallet and Simon Stacy to John Wesley Davis (b. 1832), who is the son of Thomas Davis and Sarah Stacy(?). One of the ancestry.com "references" must be wrong, but at the moment I've hit a brickwall. There are other "sources" supporting both positions. If Sarah Stacy died in 1827, she couldn't have been the mother of John Wesley Stacy. Supposedly, Thomas Davis and Sarah Stacy had a son named James Davis who had children, but to which Thomas Davis do I add him. Perhaps, Sarah married Sarah Mallet's son Thomas and Simon Stacy and Sarah Mallet have no connection to John Wesley Davis. Or perhaps, Sarah's son Thomas never married and the Rev. L. Thomas Davis and Sarah had a son James before she died and before he married Sarah Means. The only marriage date posted on wikitree to date is for The Rev. L. Thomas Davis and Sarah Means.
