Connected to tree -- but some aren't

Question

I recently got connected to the one tree when I merged one of my relatives. However, some relatives are not connected, and I don't understand - their parents' and spouses are connected, e.g. but not them. Can someone explain how this works?

Perhaps you only get the box and the picture if you aren't dead yet.

I think it's probably a question of room on the page.  Dorothy has a lengthy number of sources, so there isn't room for a box-and-a-picture.  George's bio is much shorter - so there's room.

Dorothy is connected now. I scrolled down to the bottom of her profile and saw:

Dorothy F is 37 degrees from Kevin Bacon, 46 degrees from Lucy Lavelle, 58 degrees from J. R. R. Tolkien and 38 degrees from Queen Elizabeth II Windsor on our single family tree.

Sometimes there are delays in Connection Finder updates, particularly after new connections have been made.

I see, an update happened after I commented. Now down to 128 unconnected, so progress is being made!

It takes sometimes about 48 hours before all new info is updated at WikiTree. Servers are stamping......... to upload all we add............ So if you added some new please be a little patient ( 48 hours is not a little lol).

But it takes a little for the servers of WIkiTree to add all we add..........

I am bad at connecting. Happy we have a great connector at the Dutch_Roots_Project who manage to connect in an eye blink.......... I don t know how he does it. So can t help you at explaining. :/ I am sorry.
