Looking for my g-grandfather DUNCAN FORRESTER and his ancestors. I have DOB 09Feb1880 in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Question

DOB 01 FEB 1880 Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  No info on parents at all so looking for them and proof of the connection.  He came to Canada alone in 1903 and married in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1906.

I have a Duncan on an 1881 Scotland census with location of Glasgow Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  I do not know if this is the same location or if the correct Duncan Forrester.  I am looking to find his parents names (proof) and any siblings. I have nothing before he came to Canada.

There's a Duncan Forrester in both the 1881 and 1891 Scottish census in Airdrie district, aged 2, then 12.  He could have been rounded up in them, or possibly, whoever gave the info at his wedding was not correct about his birthdate.

Scotlandspeople have a Duncan McKenzie Forrester birth record 1880 in Kelvin. Might be worth a closer look. You need to buy credits to view the image of the record.

No Brenda, I didn't mean a third one. When I searched scotlandspeople with a range of several years I just found the two: 1879 and 1880.
