Thank you ,but no this is not my gggf. He would have been buried in St Peters on Staten Island NY or St Mary's  also on S I
You sure you created this profile on wikitree
I did most of this from census. The 1850 Census has John and Cath on S I  with the first born in 1841 in NY .Both John and Cath born in Ireland on the census also. Not sure when Cath died ,but John died abt 1882. This marriage date has been my brick wall for 5yrs.

added the death record of their son John J to see if that helps

"New York, New York City Municipal Deaths, 1795-1949," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W5Q-DQR : 20 March 2015), John Kily in entry for John Kiley, 30 Aug 1919; citing Death, New York City, Richmond, New York, United States, New York Municipal Archives, New York; FHL microfilm 1,322,815.

Not the answer to my question  Not the right John anyway. It's his son

Unfortunately, I think you may have to check around where they lived for the local church that was in service at the time.  NYC didn't require marriage records until around 1881.  Same with birth records.  I was able to track down the church for my 2nd great grandparents and obtained all the baptismal records but like you, I am still searching for that elusive marriage record.

Looks like Catherine may have died between 1850 and 1860 as she is not on the 1860 Census.  James was born around 1853 so between then and 1860 to narrow it down a bit.

I also checked on FultonHistory.com to see if there was an obit or marriage notice posted in the paper but there was nothing there either.

Have you tried Castlegarden.org for them on the passenger lists?

Thank you for you reply. Unfortunately  i live in Az and the cemetery is in NY . I couldn't find any thing in Castlegarden.. Catherine is probably  buried in St Mary's also ,but unfortunately  they are closed ...

  Thank you for your effort
