Hi,

Thank you, for your help!

In this relationship trail, between Edward III, and  Henry II, there are two number 21st, that is throwing the relationship trail off. Could this be a system redirect problem?

20th   Edward (Plantagenet) of England

21st  Edward (Plantagenet) of England

21st   Edward (Plantagenet) of England

22nd Henry (Plantagenet) of England

23rd  John (Plantagenet) of England I

25th   Henry Plantagenet

Thank you!

Remember that there were 3 King Edwards of England. Edward the lll, his father Edward ll, and his father, Edward l (Longshanks).. Just a thought.

Thank you,

I would check to see if the relationship trail is the same from both of the 21st Edwards.  It could be that there's a different trail from each.  I have a 19th great Grandfather who was actually born before a 21st Great Grandfather.  Some of the generations are shorter or longer depending upon if the children were the first born or the last born, some of which may be 10-20 years apart or more.  I just checked mine and there are different path/trails...

22. Margaret is the daughter of Elizabeth (Plantagenet) de Bohun [confident]
23. Elizabeth is the daughter of Edward (Plantagenet) of England [unknown confidence]
<!-- it's the last --> This makes Edward I the 21st great grandfather of Ken.

19. John is the son of Edward (Plantagenet) of England [confident]
20. Edward III is the son of Edward (Plantagenet) of England [unknown confidence]
<!-- it's the last --> This makes Edward II the 18th great grandfather of Ken.

18. Joan is the daughter of John (Plantagenet) of Gaunt KG [unknown confidence]
19. John is the son of Edward (Plantagenet) of England [confident]
<!-- it's the last --> This makes Edward III the 17th great grandfather of Ken.

SO basically I share two paths for Edward I, one through his daughter Elizabeth, and one through the Edwards II & III.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Ken Parman I will check the two Edwards to see if they are the same.

You might be interested to know Joan Beaufort married twice, and both husbands are a great grandfather of mine. So, Joan Beaufort aka as de Ferrers is my great grandmother twice, both or her husbands are my great grandfather's. I had to double check that line, too. Interesting!

Robert (Ferrers) de Ferrers

Ralph (Neville) de Neville KG, PC

Mary (Ferrers) Neville and  Ralph Neville

Thank you, Ken!

Definitely makes things interesting!

Robert (Ferrers) de Ferrers my third cousin, 17X removed

Ralph (Neville) de Neville KG, PC my 15th Great Grandfather

Mary (Ferrers) Neville My 14th Great Grand Aunt and  Ralph Neville my 14th Great Grand Uncle

New discoveries every day!

There were 2 Joan Beauforts. 1st Joan Beaufort  was the daugbter of John of Guant (PLANTAGENANT) and his mistress and later wife, Katherin Swynfords..The 2nd Joan Beaufort was the daughter of John Beaufort  (the son John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford, and brother of the 1st Joan Beaufort).. The 2nd Joan Beaufort was the daughter of Margaret Holland (and John Beaufort), and was also the Queen Consort of Scotland and wife of King John of Scotland from 1424 to 1437..
