Phebe Merrill married Edward Burnidge in 1820. She was born in 1800 to my knowledge in Massachusetts. Their son Albert Merrill Burnidge was my great grandfather. His son being Charles Harrison Burnidge, my father being Sidney Grice Burnidge and I being Charles Hugh Burnidge. There are a number of the Merrill family buried in the Udina, Illinois cemetery. The earliest member being Asa Merrill. Other members of my family have Merrill heritage. Phebe Jane Hall, whose mother was a Merrill, married Edward Burnidge, the half brother of my great grandfather, Alfred Merrill Burnidge.
