cannot add "unrelated person"

Question

When I click "add new person" nothing happens.  This has happened before, but I am finding no solution in previous posts.

We have seen a couple of other instances of this lately, and I'm writing up a bug report.

Would you mind telling me what browser you are (were?) using?

It may have to do with cached pages in your browser.   I would close my browser and reopen the page.   I added a tech tag to see if someone else can help.   I have never had the problem, sorry.

I closed browser, started over.  When I entered the data on the form, it immediately matched it to what I did before.  Evidently it had stored the data, but the page with the "add person form" did not respond.

This is a problem that happens now and then, and we're aware of it. It seems to happen when something causes a hiccup on the server, and we can't reproduce it at will.

If you should encounter the problem again, follow the instructions that Robin gave you and try to recreate the profile. As you noticed, that will sometimes bring up the "lost" profile from before, and you can adopt it and go from there.

We're continuing to try and discover what it is that's causing this to happen.
