Question

The Connectors Project focuses on connecting loose branches and twigs to our Global Family Tree. 

Many of us are able to connect right up to this tree when we join, as we have cousins who are already here. Others, it takes some time and effort, and that's where Connectors come in. 

Connectors work on those unconnected families and profiles and research to source and connect them so we're all one tree, rather than many separate ones. 

If you like making connections and helping others with their family research, the Connectors project is the place for you. Just Answer this question below and we'll get you a badge and a welcome!

Hi! I'd love to join up to support the Connectors Project. I'm a 2nd year communication design student in New Zealand (I'm actually originally from the USA) - and would love to help connect missing information.  Currently i'm working on adding and sourcing information on the Somerville family of Otago/Dunedin - and trying to connect the Mennonite roots of the Haldeman family

Hi Abby, I have been "Sourcing" for awhile now and decided to try "Connecting" particularly with the Dysart surname. My first attempt this past week ended up with a thread of 23 people before I found a connection! WOW! but it was fun. I will post them in answer to a challenge. Glad to be a part of the team. Ann

I would like to join the project.  This is what I am doing anyway-trying to connect my family to the larger tree.

Since I started this on wikitree this month, I've gotten two branches of my family connected.  And I'm working on more.

HI Abby, I work to connect all unconnected profiles together that belong in family lines I work on--even those who are only peripherally related. I am also currently working on cleaning up a very old gedcom of over 8000. I just discovered it is part of the Lost and Found Project so I will be tagging the unconnected profiles for connectors to work on. I can also tag unconnected profiles I come across.

Hi! I'd love to become a Connector. I'm the kind of person who adds their great-aunts husbands mother's brother's wife's sister's husband's father's second wife, so connections are a lot of fun for me.
