Found the cause of errors - but I can't figure out how to fix it

re: Jean Perrier-31

Although this profile does not have any parents or siblings connected to it, it is somehow connected to and creating errors in other profiles to which he has no apparent relationship:
1. born before parents, and
2. span of ages between siblings

The profiles that the connection can be seen are:
Barbe Perier-14
Marie Magdeleine Perrier-103
Perrier_dit_Olivier-1

Very strange!  There appears to be a one-way connection between  Jean Perrier and Marie Jeanne (Perrier dit Olivier) Gendron.  He is connected as her half brother, but she isn't connected as his half sister.  And he has no parents linked to his profile.  Whatever happened must have been due to one of the earlier merges.

If you disconnect him from her edit page, it should remove the error.  I think!

Sorry about that!  I had to edit the links.

Note:  His surname in the link on her profile is spelled with only one r.  But his LNAB in his Wikitree-ID is spelled with two r's. That must be the problem.  Perhaps the spelling of the LNAB was changed, but not the spelling on the link???

It looks like the same goes for these two ladies: Barbe (Perier) Gendron and Marie Magdeleine (Perrier) Bassaillon.  He is connected as their half brother, but they are not connected as his half sisters.  A tech needs to take a look at his profile and that link to confirm.  I'm a bit confused.

This might be a candidate for marking the error as false. I don't see any notation or input that could make it a candidate for errors.

The problem is that there's no way to remove him from the family he doesn't belong with.  He is connected only through siblings.

Sibling relationships are based on the parents. If two people share one or both parents they are considered siblings. To fix an incorrect sibling relationship you need to remove the incorrect parent.

That's right, there isn't!  I suppose a tech needs to eliminate/delete that link with the other spelling (Jean Perier ).  It seems to be caught in the middle somewhere between the profiles.

I'll convert my answer to a comment.  Hopefully they'll see your post and correct it.  If not, maybe you can send your post to info@wikitree.com.

Judith ~

I was able to remove the undesirable link by disconnecting it from the mother's edit page ( Jeanne Dumas).  The other link (Perier-4) was leftover from a merge in 2014 between Perier-4 and Perrier-31.  Those errors should be corrected now.
