Study on the family Tree for Sr John Wynn which throws doubt on its accuracy

I came across this while searching fir information on John Wynn's Family Tree: see profiles for ap Maredudd-12, ap Naredudd-14 and ap Maredudd 29, all for apparently the same person, Robert ap Maredudd
http://darrell75657.tripod.com/centerforthestudyofancientwales/id115.html
It suggests that the trees we have on Wikitree for Sir John cannot be supported with objective evidence I note that profile for ap Maredudd-14 is Project Protected

ap Maredudd-14 is project protected because it should be the target profile in a merge - "ap Maredudd" in the LNAB field is the correct styling/spelling of a son of Maredudd following Cymru Project guidelines.
But there's also Ap_Maredudd-12, and I don't think the system will let you go the wrong way just to get ap instead of Ap.
Ap_Maredudd-14 has been merged into Ap_Maredudd-12 now . . .
so many duplicates, I thought I'd test the theory that Ap Maredudd-12 couldn't be merged into ap Maredudd-14 ... it could.
oo-er - I didn't expect that to work.
