I was on FamilySearch and for some reason, my name was a suggestion on the box. I thought it would be fun to see if anything came up, so I just searched my full name (with no dates or anything).

This came up.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "Ancestral File," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:1:MWGX-W44 : accessed 2017-06-11), entry for Jourdain Renee CLEGHORN.

The name is almost a match. The birth date (month and day) and birth location are match. The year is only about 90 years off.

I couldn't contact the 'cousin' who posted it.

But I found this so funny I had to share it. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

You don't look a day over 60 to me !
Thank you! That's a huge compliment considering I'll be 118 in October.

There was a mistake on familysearch.org with the first name of one of my great grandfathers. It showed as Fordrick, but it should have been Frederick. I contacted them and they changed it to Frederick.

You may want to contact them about your slight age disparity.

Fordrick is an interesting misspelling for sure. I tried contacting them, but when I click on their username it doesn't go anywhere. I really wanted to know they were too.

If you go to the upper right of the page at familysearch.org , you can click on Get Help and it will give you several alternative ways to contact them. I wound up talking to them on the phone which seemed to be the most effective. Contact Us would be worth a try after clicking on Get Help.

Thanks. I'll try contacting them and see what's up

Don't assume it;s a transcription error.  Just think, you may have discovered an ancestor after whom you were named!

Wouldn't that be cool. I was named by mother, though. My first name she picked and my middle name is her namesake. I love the idea of finding someone so similar to me in the tree. I shall investigate further.
