The source of the facts about Eric Blain was the English Birth, Marriage, and Death parish registers. I personally used Find My Past, but they may be available elsewhere.

ERIC BLAIN  FROM OLD SWAN, LIVERPOOL  WAS MARRIED TO LILLIAN BURGESS.  ERIC DIED IN 1992.  HE DID NOT MARRY JOYCE BENTLEY.    NOR DID ERIC ARBUTHNOT BLAIN, BORN 1932, AND ERIC ARBUTHNOT BLAIN IS NOT DEAD.

Vanessa, the wonderful part of Wikitree is the collaboration with each other that the members enjoy. As such, I appreciate you bringing Eric Blain's profile to my attention. In reviewing it, I most certainly did make a mistake by attaching the death info for Eric born 1903 to Eric born 1932. I have corrected that. As for the younger Eric's wife. I was given her name by another Blain researcher. I am happy to correct it also if it is wrong. Do you have sources to support a correction? In the meanwhile I will look also later this morning.

Unfortunately Find My Past is a paid subscription website so anyone wanting to see the details must also have a paid subscription to that site.

Any other details may be from a personal knowledge either from the profile manager or information that was given to the profile manager.

A free Birth, Marriage and Death registration index for Britain can be seen at www.freebmd.org.uk or the GRO (General register office) has an free index of births and deaths which you have to register for and this one gives mother's maiden name for all birth's (1837 on-wards) and age at death for all deaths (these pieces of information are not available anywhere else before about 1900)

Thank you for the additional marriage information.  From the dates of the marriages, there's some investigation to be done. Either that or Eric was a busy, busy guy.
