How do I get DD status page to respond to what's said instead of defaulting to "Comment (no change in status)"

Look at the one I've referenced. I put several comments in and it accepted none. The worksheet is not clear. Also, what should one put for an unnamed girl child who dies at birth if not daughter and surname?

Sorry - what's a 'DD status page'?
Sorry about that. It would only take a given number of letters in the question   box.  Data Doctor.

Hi Darlene,

Did you enter your ID in the box Status set by WikitreeID?

The help of the Proper First Name item says:

  • If an infant died before he or she could be named, use Unnamed Infant. Do not use Infant BoyBaby Girl, etc. There is a gender field for this.

Yes, I did enter my id. Thank you for the infant information.

What are the symptoms of "it accepted none"? Error message? No response?

I just now added a comment to the 802 error report of this profile and had no problem, the comment was accepted and is shown...

No matter what I put in the Status section or comment section, it goes directly to "Comment (no change in status). Even when I've said it's fixed or it's a false error. They never hide.

Yes, it does that, on the error report page.

But the error should be hidden if you check the Error Report from the profile page. Hard to tell in this case, since you tried several actions before resorting to G2G.

I do wonder if the error report page could be tweaked to remember the choice you have made (and saved) instead of the buttons going back to default. It's not very user friendly the way it is.

Eva, I could remember that, but it is designed to goes to comment, since it has no effect on the error status. Otherwise you could unintentionally set wrong status if you forget to select correct one.

When you set the status to corrected, and save, the status on the report page you see after saving goes back to showing the default, which is "comment".

But your correction should show below the choices. And the error should be hidden. Then, if you post a comment, as it seems you did, this overrides the Corrected status, and the error will show again. Then, when you set the status to "False error", the error was hidden again. I had to look at "hidden errors" to see this:

  Date Status Comment
Scott-8685 17.06.2017 9:00:04 False error
Scott-8685 17.06.2017 9:00:16 Comment This profile has been cleaned
Scott-8685 17.06.2017 9:00:42 Corrected This profile has been cleaned

Eva, It is the other way. Last status (by time) is active one, Comments are ignored for the visibility of an error. Error is currently hidden, since corrected hides the error until monday, when it should no longer exist if corrected, otherwise it is reshown. False error would hide it forever, but was overridden by corrected status.
