Does anyone know who the parents of John Douglas Hamilton Smith-Maxwell (1902 – 1959) were?

II have hit a brick wall in trying to find he parents of John Douglas Hamilton Smith-Maxwell  (1902 – 1959). https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-Maxwell-2

I have found his birth, marriage & death records, also found him on the 1939 U.K. Register but no sign of him on the 1911 U.K. Census. His parents could well be recorded as plain Maxwell.

Any help appreciated.
