Im trying to find information on the last name "miles" that migrated from England to New Zealand?

My name is Brooke Miles. Im trying to find a link back from my grandfather who was David James Miles. I think his grandparents may have migrated from England to New Zealand. If you know of anything would love the help.

Brooke, Myself I haven't got back that far, I have talked to a man that has & he said he would snail mail me the info. .  My Miles line changed from Miles to Mills back in the mid 1800's between father & son Solomon b. 1729 in Needham , Mass, & Solomon b. 1764 , Natick ,Mass.  . Hi my linr is Nelly Miles married Thomas shea... 10 chn were born to them 1820-1840 at Callan kk..their son Edmond arrin NZ about 1860 via Aus...Nelly had siblins Bridget ..Martin Judith and Patrick .... dont know anything further sorry...

Hi Brooke, I hope you are still keen to find your ancestors. I'm also looking for an elusive Miles.

I suggest you look for names on passenger lists on the eggsa.org website (maybe there is a NZ one)   I have also found a possible lead in the south african/ Br military sites.

Hi Brooke, my husbands connections to the surname MILES is only in England and goes back for a number of generations. My husband and I live in NZ but have no other relations with the same surname here. If I do come across anything I will contact you. Regards, Charmaine.
