does anyone has information about BERNHARD VOGEL from Plauen, Germany his parents and siblings?

HE WAS A TAILOR WHO CAME TO NICARAGUA ABOUT 1858

I have a little info from research i did on my family history. If you search on ancestry.com you will find he left Germany and went by boat to New Orleans, La. He and his wife lived there and their son was born there. They arrived in New Orleans on Nov 30, 1858. The ship they crossed over on was the Washington and they are listed on that ship's passenger manifest.  They were included in the 1860 census as still living in New Orleans. A son, Bernard, was born in New Orleans on Jan 2, 1860. They were still listed in the New Orleans directory in 1861, the address in New Orleans was 63 Liberty St and he was listed as a tailor. That is all I could find. I am guessing that after that they left for Nicaragua, which also coincides with the beginning of the American Civil War.

 

I understand that the Moravian Church in Bluefields, Nicaragua kept detailed records of the people but I as I live in the US I have been unable to explore that avenue.

My  father's name was Bernard B. Vogel Jr , his Father was Bernard B Vogel Sr. from Pittsburgh, Pa

He was a tailor from Pluen Germany, Originally Lutheran he joined the  Moravian church in Bluefields.

He had several daughters and sons.

His original German wife died and then he married Antoinette Hooker in Bluefields

Some of his children were : Luisa, Dora, Elioza, Charles, John and several more., Ana?, Mary?
