Why did an individual not show up on my GEDCom import?

I imported a GedCom file into WikiTree but James Rankin born 1731 in Scotland does not appear in the tree. He was in the gedcom file. How do I find out what happened?

Hi Bill,

Here's the report page: http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:UploadGedcom&action=report&gu_id=13378

I see that at least one James Rankin was skipped, presumably that's him.

Maybe you just had the checkbox marked but didn't realize it?

Bill,  Did you go through all 57 Matches for his name?  He may be under the strictest privacy level.  Only Profile Managers (can see them everyshere) and those on the Trusted Lists (who can see them in most places.  Might try looking under you Skipped Matches, or Unmerged Matches and finally in the Rejected matches.  Sometimes if several birthday's or death dates come up on a gedcom.  Found one of mine this way.  I'm new to adding gedcom's myself.  If you can't locate him by one of the ways I mentioned.  Maybe someone else with more knowledge about them can pin-point him down for you.  Hope this helps.  Barbara Jean Beebe-655
