How to convert a .pdf into a ged.com?

I previously was a member of myheritage.com and created an extensive family tree on that site.

I subsequently download the family tree into a .pdf format Family  Book.

Then I did the unthinkable:  I accidently deleted the ged.com file at myheritage.com

My subscription at that site ended, and I did not renew it.

How can I go about converting the .pdf book back into a ged.com?

Otherwise, is there any way to recover the ged.com from myheritage.com?

A person at the local LDS family history library said I could sign into the site from the LDS library computers without paying a new subscription fee.

If I sign in for fee from LDS, can I recover the ged.com????

Thanks,

Martha Scott

Unfortunately, there is really no easy (or even moderately difficult) way to convert a .pdf into a .ged format.

Your best option would be what has already been suggested.  You, or someone on your behalf with access to MyHeritage, could logon there and download the file.  I am not familiar with the download features of MyHeritage so I can't guarantee that your file is downloadable at this time.

Have you tried logging in to MyHeritage with your original user id? Worth checking to see if you can still access parts of your information? It is possible to have a free account on there, but with a limitation on the number of people in the tree. You might actually find that some of your tree can still be viewed and downloaded, unless you specifically deleted the whole thing on the site and not just the gedcom you had downloaded to your computer.
