Hear ye! Hear ye!!

The Volunteer Coordinators Project is looking for people who are enthusiastic and want to help people connect with other genealogists through WikiTree projects.

This is a really great project with people who are passionate about helping fellow WikiTreers get connected to the community.

Does this sound like something you'd enjoy?

For more information, stop by the project page.

If you're at all interested, post here. Thanks!

i am interested in join this one although i have only been a member since the beginning of june

Hi, Stephanie!!  Thanks for your interest in being a Volunteer Coordinator! :-)

It looks like you'll be eligible for that project the beginning of October.

In the meantime, there are a couple of other projects that you might be interested in. Take a look at Greeters and Messengers. Both of them would help you get more familiar with different parts of WikiTree, which can help when you are able to join the Volunteer Coordinators.

If you're interested in either of those, just follow the directions in the How To Join sections on the project page.

Hi Julie,

I would like to join please.

i am in the process of greeters but whats the difference between the greeters and messagers
Hi, Stephanie!

The Greeters welcome new guests, watch for spammers, answer questions from new guests, and confirm them as new members.

The Messengers follow up with new members about a week later and make sure they're doing OK with the new member tutorials.

I can have Debi Hoag, the leader of the Messengers, get in touch. Since you're getting set up with Greeters, I'll assume you're already talking with Carole Partridge. :-)
spoken to both of them but that would be good to

Hi Stephanie. Julie checked with me to see if we needed any more Messengers. Because of some changes made in how our process works, we've got all the slots filled and have enough extra people to cover when we have scheduling conflicts.

Have you taken a look at the Appreciation Team? They're another sub-project of the Volunteer Coordinators Project. Steve's great to work with and I'll bet that you'd be good at spreading good cheer around the WikiTree forest!

I shall have a look at those Debi thank you

When I read a person's tags--especially when greeting, I always itch to recommend projects to them.  I think maybe I should?  I love telling people about what we have to offer and since I participate in so many projects--I am somewhat familiar with most of them :-)

Emmmm-aaaaaa!!!  Yes! You would be a wonderful "VC." :-)

I'll get you set up in just a few minutes. Thanks so much for stepping up.
Juuuuuulie!  Thank you!  You are the bestest!

You are going to have to tell me how to do the job properly though :-)
That's already in the works. The lovely Summer Orman will be your guide. :-)
