How to change last name to Unknown?

I came to WikiTrees to eliminate the mythology out of my family tree. There exist many flavors of GEDCOM files in the wild these days that have all sorts of information with no sources. I have been putting a lot of effort into figuring out this Mary beyond the man she married (Nathaniel McClure). I have a source for her death (1767), and I have seen sources on Ancestry that list her as "Mary McClure" when she emigrated to from Ireland to the colonies in the late 1730s. In the interest of following the Honor Code, I'd like to change her last name to Unknown until a source is located. I can't figure out how to do this.

In the interest of having an answer, to this question. What Eddie said - Send the manager a message. She is active, so should respond.

Should she not respond. Go to the tree & tools tab, look for unresponsive manager and click on it. There are three things you have to do first before you can file the form, but the form tells you what they are.

Glad to see people join WikiTree to excise errors from their family trees. I believe this is the best place on the Internet for that!

Regardless of what happens with the LNAB, I suggest that you submit a Trusted List request for this profile. If this is your ancestor and you've been researching her, I would think that you would want to have her profile on your watchlist.
