Is George C. T. Henry (B. 1876) son of Prudence House?

While looking into my direct ancestor Michael Nathaniel Henry, I noted he married a second wife (a widow) named Prudence Doan (maiden: House) in about 1874. Prudence was in her early to mid 40s when they married, so children could be possible.

I found the family in the 1881 Canada Census and there is a 5 yr old child named "George C. T. Henry" that I am assuming is Prudence's (the other child, Elizabeth, is old enough that Michael Nathaniel's first wife was still alive and was likely the mother.)

Regarding "George C. T. Henry":

- I can't find a birth record to confirm if this is Prudence + Nathaniel's child.

- I find Prudence, now widowed, in the 1891 Census, though I have no idea how to figure out if there is another person in her household (I don't see a page or sheet number and there are a lot of other people with the surname 'Henry' in Sombra.)

- No idea what "C. T." stands for in his name.

Any help/advice is appreciated.

There were a lot of Henry families in the area. George C.T. could easily be a child of one of the younger families.
Yeah, I know. Heh.

Though this "George C. T. Henry" shows up in the household of Michael Nathaniel and Prudence with no other adults of child-bearing age in the 1881 Census. When I've seen grandchildren in a household, usually there is at least one of the parents of the children in the household with the older grandparents.

However, Prudence was young enough to have had a child in 1876 - just haven't been able to find the birth record for "George C. T. Henry".

Nathaniel's first wife died 1872, so George is not her child. Find A Grave Memorial# 70834118

George is not in the 1891 census with widowed Prudence, but there is a "daughter" Lilian S Henry bn 1880.  Sorry I can't find any information on her either, and this doesn't help with your query.

I did look for a death, burial or appearance in 1891 census somewhere else, but drew a blank

Thank you - finding the unknown daughte rLillian is certainly a help, as I had no clue about her before.

Might I ask how you managed to figure out who was listed with Prudence in the 1891 Census? I must admit I was flumoxed by it, as the transcription doesn't list households and I didn't see any obvious markers like sheet number, line number, etc., but perhaps I missed it.

I can only assume George must have died young, as I would think he'd still be at home at age 15-16 (relative age he'd be in 1891 Census.) Unless they grossly underestimated his age in the 1881 Census, which is possible but only by a year perhaps due to Prudence and Nathaniel's marriage date.

A bit of a conundrum, to be sure!

There is also Prudence's kids from her first marriage, but I think they were all out on their own by this time. (I found several of them and added them to WikiTree.)
I just went to the Library & Archives census page for 1891 and plugged her in the search of database
