[[Elmer-1185|William B Elmer, Jr]] is making changes to [[Warren-10565| Edmund C Warren]] and Kitty Smith gets credit. She was formerly the Profile Manager. My nose is NOT out of joint, you all do a phenomenal job! It's just unnerving for the author to initially think someone (Kitty in this case) is making these changes and possibly undoing what I have done. Kitty's name carries a LOT of weight with me!!! No need to reply:-)

Hi William,

I don't believe this is the first time someone else got the "credit" for a contribution on a change I know its quite rare. I have tagged "bug" just maybe someone familiar with the bugs on wikitree has some knowledge on this issue. If not best get some insecticides and spray them gremlins :)

Have a great day!
This has happened to me before. I looked at the feed on my Nav Home Page one morning and it said I had edited a profile when in fact I had only just booted up the pc. Another time, I proposed a couple of merges but the feed said I had proposed them then it said I'd removed them, when I had done no such thing. I was a bit miffed about that one because it looked like I couldn't make up my mind, lol.

I took a look at the change log and from what I can tell, both of you did editing in June 2017:

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Warren-10565

The vast majority of the edits are attributed to you, with only the creation of the profile on 1 June and a mother/father edit on 22 June being attributed to Kitty. Maybe there was a glitch somewhere, but it looks like it may have cleared itself up. I can't be for sure, but give it another look and see if you are still seeing errors.

Hi Scott, The Kitty changes were made by me, not Kitty so the error is still there. Don't change it, just know there is a glitch. -Bill

This is a known problem, and there's more information about it here:

Relationship Tracking Bug

There's a little note at the bottom of the change detail page that links to that help page:

Note: It's possible for a change to the parents or marriage of Edmund to be improperly attributed to Kitty.

Great! I hope the others saw this. I had seen it but lost track of it, now I have a special bookmark. Are there other "bugs" ? Is there a bug section? Probably not, since Wikitree Techs are almost (99.99999999%) invincible!
