I got his 1850 census living with probably grandson (John Hopper age 36) he is 100 years old I see some trees saying that John Hopper that he is living with is a son but Thomas would have been 60+ years old I believe this John Hopper on the 1850 census is a Grandson

Yes when I was looking at the Thomas Hopper Genealogy it would appear that the name John, William, Thomas where popular names for that family. On my mothers side the popular name is Henry I reckon every generation had 1 or 2 Henry's since most had around 12 children.

You can remove his birth date and merge him with one of the other Hoppers. That will make him go away. This will be really easy to do if you are the profile manager of another Hopper, since you will manage both profiles you can do it really fast.
