Is there a way to embed maps into a Wikitree Page?

Does anyone know if there is a way to embed a Google map - for instance - into a Wikitree page?  I personally find it fascinating to see where all my relations have come from, lived, died, etc. and as part of that I have been entering that information into a Google map so it is easier to view. I know it is possible to create a family timeline page or a family surname page, but is it possible to create a family "locations" page and display something like this map.  I am aware that you can create a link to the Google map location and I am perfectly fine with doing that but was not sure if there was a way to do this without the redirect.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Brian,

You could upload the map as an image, either tagged to individual family member profiles or a new free-space page where you tell the migration stories.

You can't actually embed a map, or even an image for that matter, inside the text of a page. That's a limitation we placed on the system. (It reduces spam and vandalism risks. Though, now that I think about it, neither has been a problem since we went invitation-only. We could probably go back to allowing it.)

Maybe others have specific suggestions or ideas.

Chris, perhaps you could expand the Bio capability so that it is richer :)
It could allow formatting like G2G questions and embedded images, Iframed urls (google maps), etc
WebTrees has the capability of embedding a link to google maps showing a place marker with the supplied location information. See http://webtrees.net/index.php?view=article&id=51. Not sure how that would work with historical locations / names. That of course would pre-suppose that all of the locations are valid in current maps, and that it could understand all of the variations in place names. An additional nice feature would be location validation (does google recognize the location, as entered?) and standardization, either when entered of after the fact. Google maps is nice because it is simply an embedded link in a frame, no burden on the WikiTree servers.
Since we already have a button next to location to google maps might there be some way to just have a show map widget that would keep you on wikitree?  We've got the nice link already.
